Honestly, I never realized the importance of IMDB credits till I started working in the international market. Many producers, are very particular about the IMDB. I am not entirely sure, if it's true that IMDB credits and the more you have, really affects a producers' decision to fund your film or filmed content, though many of my friends working in the entertainment industry across the world, would like me to believe it.
Honestly, in India, producers are not that bothered about IMDB and I am sure 75% of the Indian producers or potential producers don't even know about IMDB or its significance. Anyways, point is IMDB has now opened its offices in India and that in itself is an indicator of the boom, the west expects in the Indian Entertainment & Media Industry!
