69 Opposites Attract l 115 l The Set Decorum - Light Yet Assertive

How should be the mood on the sets of a film or filmed content; many times this question has dogged the filmmakers.

Till the 90's when filmmaking was really, really tough; the industry was full of stories about the iron-control a filmmaker or a studio-exec wielded on the sets.

The digital changed a lot of things, with almost 50% of the work created now, worldwide being 'collaboration' rather than 'paid work'; a filmmaker knows they ought to keep the team together, if they want to create something cool.

I feel, these days, it is imperative to keep a light mood on the sets. It's importance is reflected from the fact that a light mood goes a long way in everybody delivering their best. It ensures that the cast & crew works diligently towards making a film or filmed content that can best be achieved with in the available resources.

Of course, there will be cast and crew that will take this light mood as a weakness; the 'bad apples' can be immediately discarded, because at the end of the day, a filmmaker has to be 'objectively & subjectively' assertive.
